The Net Gen....
People today are very much into a new drug. This drug is something they can't live without. Their livelihood is not important to them but it has become more important that they take this drug.

Still Clueless?
Its the Internet. People today live and strive on the net. They cannot go or live anywhere without it. It has become like a drug that has penetrated their roots and core. There are some lucky ones who have still not encountered this drug but the number increases day by day, minute by minute, second by second. Once I remembered people used to read the news papers to get the latest news.
Today, they get it directly from the blogs and social networking sites.
Data mining has increased to such an extent that we are working for sites like Facebook and Orkut.
How ? Some of you may ask.
The answer is simple, we upload our own pictures, tag them, tag our friends pictures, create groups, use applications that give these companies a direct and 24x7 insight on our behavior. They are employing us for free and we are happy to work for them.
Today we write blogs and millions of users follow them. We create a movement online. That is how Mr. Barack Obama was able to gather funds and defeat his competitors.
Location Based Service is the worst of it all. Today people are posting their pics of a site called twitter, telling the world where they are. This gives access to all robbers, companies, sellers to directly target the customers.
Ex: When we move to a particular sate don't we get promotional sms s' of that state's stores. Image that happening in real time when technology is at its max in India and people use social networking all the time.
We will get promotional messages just by telling people where we are.
I am not saying technology is a bad thing. Today it is shaping the world in a way and we do not even know it.
Zynga is a very good example. I know that almost all the people who are on FB except me use Zynga applications like Farming, Cafe, Mafia, Casino.... But have they ever thought of the reason they continuously keep using them. It is ALWAYS IMPROVING as per the needs of the users to get more users and it is slowly converting FB users into customers.
In conclusion,
I would like to say that the net gen is now not only changing but shaping our thoughts and ideas in a way that was earlier not even imaginable.
